Open Doors Day - 4th. September

RWM Bro W. Scott Moore and

his Wife Isobel opening the

Lodge Doors

This was the first Open Doors Day that Lodge St. Bryde have organised and was perhaps the first to be held in Lanarkshire Middle Ward. It was really a step into the unknown, what would be the format, how would the Temple layout look, how many visitors would come?

In the end there was no need to worry, everything went exceptionally well.  The   Temple was set out as it would be for a Regular meeting and included  displays on The Grand Lodge of Scotland, Provincial Grand Lodge, Lodge  St. Bryde and a display of items of interest from Other Orders.

The Lodge Homepage was demonstrated in the lounge along with videos of Grand Lodge Masonic Homes and a Grand Lodge of Ireland video.

Visitors included George Kelly, Provincial Grand Master, David Lindsay, Substitute  Provincial Grand Master and Peter Price, Provincial Grand Senior Chaplain  who were all accompanied by their wives.

In all, 86 Brethren, friends and visitors attended and everyone appeared to be satisfied with the many items on display and also the many questions which were answered by the Brethren present.
