These Digitalised Minutes will now appear on the Lodge St. Bryde Homepage over a period of time, in a read only format. This will be of great benefit to our oversees Members, who have been making enquiries on how to purchase the CD`s.   The first Minute Book from 12th. October 1875 to 24th. April 1889 will be available on the Homepage soon.

Oban Visit.

Lodge St. Bryde will this year return to Lodge Commercial No. 180 in Oban for our Annual visit. Bro. Ronnie McCarney has again organised the visit which will take place on Saturday 26th. March 2011. Accommodation has been booked and the cost of the trip (including transport) will be £60. Deposits are now being taken and Brethren wishing to attend should contact Bro. Ronnie as soon as possible.

Parking.

Recently we have had difficulty with Parking in Gardenside Street. Although the resident concerned lives at No. 28 which is a considerable distance from our Hall, he has complained to us directly about parking on what he deems to be his property. Unfortunately, he has also contacted the Police regarding Parking in this area which is the road beyond the property at No. 28 (the same side as our Hall – last house). In view of this we have posted Notices to draw to the attention to visitors to our Hall that Parking on the road beyond No. 28 is not recommended and car owners are reminded that parking in this area is at the owner’s risk.

Time Lord Returns !

tardisMembers will remember the report in a previous back page of the grandfather clock that stood in our Committee Room disappearing, only to materialise in Lodge Hamilton Kilwinning Committee Room a few weeks later ! Now without warning another object has materialised in our Committee Room.  Tucked snugly behind the door is what looks like The Tardis, that time machine used by the famous doctor. I asked an expert in time travel for his opinion, explaining about the famous doctor, adjusting his glasses he said “Who?”  I was stunned, never ceases to amaze me how he say so little and mean so much ! Needless to say we hav`nt opened the door to see what is inside.

Honorary Grand Rank Presentation.

A large Deputation from Provincial Grand Lodge attended the Regular Meeting of the Lodge on Wednesday 26th. January 2011. Bro. James L. Jack, Provincial Grand Master presented Bro. Ronald McCarney, P.M. Treas. with an Honorary Grand Rank jewel on behalf of the Brethren of the Lodge. In making the presentation the P.G.M. praised the work that Bro. McCarney had carried out over many years on behalf of his Mother Lodge and Provincial Grand Lodge.
