Death

Bro. James McClair, Past Master, Worshipful Senior Warden.

It was with great sadness that we heard of the death of Bro. Jim McClair and, although we knew that he had been fighting a terrible illness, the loss of a Brother held in high esteem as a Past Master of the Lodge and holding the high Office of W.S.W. is a loss deeply felt by all our members. Jim joined Lodge St. Bryde on 22nd. May 1985, having been proposed and seconded by Bro. George and Lindsay Cuthbertson and he followed other family members into the Craft. He progressed through the Offices in the Lodge to become R.W.M. in 1992, Bros. Ronnie McCarney and Jim Vasey being his Installing Masters. Jim was an excellent Degree worker and was soon tempted back into Office and was at his death our Worshipful Senior Warden. He was also skilled in the works of Robert Burns and was often called to recite  poems. Jim and his wife Bridie were great supporters of the Lodge social evenings and our sincere sympathy is extended to the McClair Family at this time.
