Dec 2005 Installation.
Our Province received a
tremendous boost at the Grand Lodge Installation on 24th. November when
Bro. Kenneth D. Kennedy, P.G.M. was
installed as Grand Junior Warden and Bro. George R. Kelly, was installed
as Grand Sword Bearer. It is an indication of our Provinces standing in Grand
Lodge that we have two high ranking office bearers installed this year.

Martin McGibbon, Grand Secretary retired after being in Office for a total of 16 years (4 years as Grand Treasurer and 12 as Grand Secretary) I.P.G.M. Bro. In reply Grand Secretary introduced the new Grand Secretary - Bro. David Begg who will be Installed at the meeting on 24th. November.
Oct 2005 Grand
Master. We learn with great sadness, that our Grand Master Mason, Bro. Rev. Joseph Morrow
has decided not to seek re election
as Grand Master Mason. Brother Joe was an inspiration to all our Members with
his inimitable style and enthusiasm
for the Craft and will be greatly missed. The strain and pressure resulting from
reports in certain newspapers about his personal life caused him to be admitted
to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee with
heart problems. These “changes to private circumstances and health” meant
that he felt that he was not in a position to seek re-election in the coming
year. What a tragedy that a good man and true Brothers health and life appears
to have been ruined by cheap headline seekers in our press. Bro. Archibald Orr
Ewing will be Installed
as Grand Master Mason at the Installation on 24th. November. Grand
Office Bearers. Bro. Kenneth
D. Kennedy, P.G.M. has been nominated for the Office of Grand Junior Warden and
Bro. George R. Kelly has been nominated for the Office of Grand Sword Bearer.
Both offices will be confirmed at the Regular Communication of Grand Lodge on
27th. October. Installation

Club. Grand Secretary reported that since the 2000 Club was launched in 1998
it has accumulated a Total Gross Income to Grand Lodge Funds of £168,588. This
is a fantastic figure and all Brethren who contribute to the Club should be
especially pleased with their efforts.
Aug 2005 Annual Divine Service. The Grand Lodge Annual Divine Service which was held on Sunday 12th. June 2005 was a tremendous success. Over 500 members and families attended the Service in Dunblane Cathedral. The Service was conducted by Bro. Rev. John H. Jenkinson, Past Senior Grand Chaplain. The Readings were by C. Martin McGibbon, Grand Secretary, Bro. Sir Archibald Orr Ewing, Immediate Past Grand Master and Bro. Rev. Canon Joseph J. Morrow, Grand Master Mason offered prayers. The collection was donated to The Cathedral Fund. Grand
Master Visit. Bro. Rev. Joseph Morrow, Grand Master Mason paid a surprise
visit to the Provincial Grand Lodge Regular Communication on Friday 3rd. June.
The Grand Master has since his Installation paid unofficial visits to may Provincial Grand Lodges
and indeed has extended these visits to Daughter Lodges. This was the theme of
his Installation address in which he stated that it would be his intention to go
out from Grand Lodge and meet the Brethren of the Lodges.
May 2005
The Grand Lodge has for the first time in many years organised an Annual Divine Service. The Service will take place in Dunblane Cathederal on Sunday 12th. June at 2pm. All Brethren and their wives are invited to attend. Regalia will not be worn, however Brethren attending will be encouraged to wear their Past Masters Jewels or Honorary Grand Rank collars. Bro. Peter Price, Senior Provincial Grand Chaplain will be taking part in the Service and it would be great if we could support him by attending in numbers. Grand Secretary. Bro. Martin McGibbon, Grand Secretary has intimated that he will retire from Office in November 2005. Bro. Joseph Morrow, Grand Master has given Lodges and Provincial Grand Lodges the opportunity to contribute to a gift which will be presented to Bro. McGibbon at the October Communication of Grand Lodge. At the Regular Meeting on 13th. April, Lodge St. Bryde agreed to donate £50 to the presentation.
April 2005 Lodge St. Bryde No. 579 received a tremendous honour last month when The Grand Lodge of Scotland announced that Bro. James L. Jack, P.M.. had been Appointed, Representative of The Grand Lodge of Georgia near the Grand Lodge of Scotland. Bro. Jack received his letters of congratulations and the Certificate of his Commission from The Grand Lodge of Georgia.
This is only the second time that Lodge St. Bryde
have been honoured in this way , the last Brother of our Lodge to Represent a
