Grand Master. We learn with great  sadness, that our Grand Master Mason, Bro. Rev. Joseph Morrow has decided not to seek  re election as Grand Master Mason. Brother Joe was an inspiration to all our Members with his inimitable style and  enthusiasm for the Craft and will be greatly missed. The strain and pressure resulting from reports in certain newspapers about his personal life caused him to be admitted to Ninewells  Hospital, Dundee with heart problems. These “changes to private circumstances and health” meant that he felt that he was not in a position to seek re-election in the coming year. What a tragedy that a good man and true Brothers health and life appears to have been ruined by cheap headline seekers in our press. Bro. Archibald Orr Ewing will be      Installed as Grand Master Mason at the Installation on 24th. November.

Grand Office Bearers. Bro. Kenneth D. Kennedy, P.G.M. has been nominated for the Office of Grand Junior Warden and Bro. George R. Kelly has been nominated for the Office of Grand Sword Bearer. Both offices will be confirmed at the Regular Communication of Grand Lodge on 27th. October.

2000 Club. Grand Secretary reported that since the 2000 Club was launched in 1998 it has accumulated a Total Gross Income to Grand Lodge Funds of £168,588. This is a fantastic figure and all Brethren who contribute to the Club should be  especially pleased with their efforts.
